About Osteria Ama Philly
Italian Restaurant BYOB
Osteria Ama Philly is an italian restaurant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 1905 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19103, which places it among the local businesses of Philadelphia that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 12β9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Osteria Ama Philly at (484) 355-4133; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, osteriaama-philly.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 3,260 reviews, which is a strong result for an italian restaurant in Philadelphia and suggests consistent service.
Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Philadelphia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Anisa was an excellent server! Very kind and attentive she checked on us often. Was very knowledgeable about which dishes to try. Was a pleasure to eat here I will be returning soon! My favorite was the fresh pasta and the crab bites. I felt the appetizers, pasta and desserts was the best part of the meal for me!

Osteria Ama was a disappointing dining experience overall. Most of the dishes were honestly distasteful and lacked freshness. The only item that was somewhat edible was the arancini, but even that didnβt stand out because all of the fried food had an overpowering oiliness, as if the oil hadnβt been changed in a while. Our server, Gokhan, wasnβt bad in terms of attitudeβhe was kind and politeβbut he wasnβt very attentive during the meal, which added to the underwhelming experience. The one saving grace was the dessert at the end, which was genuinely the highlight of the entire meal and felt like it belonged to a completely different level of quality compared to everything else. Overall, it felt inconsistent and not worth the visit, aside from the dessert at the end.

First time here before seeing a comedy show at the Helium Club. Ty our server was amazing. He was very kind and attentive. Honestly one of the best service experiences at a restaurant weβve experienced in a long time. Our waters were always filled. Empty plates were always removed. Food was delicious and portions were huge. My sister in law and I split the chicken parm was which so delicious and we were both stuffed. Our husbands got seafood pasta dishes which were great. The fried mozzarella appetizer was delicious and the homemade bread was such a nice touch with the oil.

1st time we are here at Osteria ama was great! Parking is always a big deal in Center City but the convenience of having parking across the street started the experience off right. The service was great but my guy was by himself and mentioned that he was getting over a cold. Thatβs was not a great start but we Gucci so no worries π The food was exceptional and we enjoyed everything that we ordered. I need to mention thatβs itβs BYOB too which always great and keep the cost lower to expand your food experience π€©π€©π€©

Ty was a wonderful server. He was kind, attentive, and very accommodating throughout our visit. At one point, I watched a group of customers rudely push past him, and I was honestly impressed by how calmly he handled the situation. His patience and reserve spoke volumes. That said, I do hope management considers creating clear ways for servers and staff to stand up for themselves when situations like that happen. No one deserves to be treated poorly while doing their job. The food overall was delicious! The only dish that didnβt quite hit the mark for me was the spinach dip, it was a bit too milky, mild in flavor, and seemed slightly separated. I didnβt care to take a photo of that. Aside from that small note, the meal was great and Ty truly made the experience memorable. Weβll definitely be back!
